Principal Partner Ken Weitz studied Architecture at Boston Architectural Center and the University of Miami before obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Technology at Florida International University. With his expertise in architecture & design, and 25 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Ken is uniquely suited to seeing large and small-scale projects through from concept to completion. He’s able to understand and define the clients vision and help turn it into reality. Ken’s reputation for facilitating a rewarding client experience is a hallmark of his accomplishments.
Principal Partner and President of Operations Steve Romanowski received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Contracting from Purdue University. He has been a State of Florida General Contractor since 1985. Steve is responsible for all operations at Vintage Building and Design. There is no detail too small or seemingly insignificant that he will ever overlook. Steve continually puts forth the work and effort it takes to achieve this high level of attention to detail. The results of his efforts are an improvement in every aspect of the building process, from planning to the delivery of a finished custom home. Steve is uncompromising when it comes to everything, from the small details of presenting a spreadsheet to site planning of an entire community. He is a rare individual that does everything extremely well and is willing to put forth the effort to insure his standards are always met.
Partner Susan Schedler is Vice President of Finance and Administration at VBD. She previously studied Psychology at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. She oversees all Accounting and Purchasing functions including maintaining real time budgets for all construction projects, whether single-family or multiple-home communities. She has extensive training in Sage’s Master Builder Accounting software which is a perfect pairing to her exceptional organizational skills and integral to providing transparent, detailed and timely information to all of our clients.
John Krayeski is the Project Manager for VBD. John studied engineering at the University of Florida, and became a State of Florida Certified Residential Contractor in 1989. He managed large-scale multi-family projects with major developers, including Arvida, before signing on with Vintage in 1995. John oversees all on-site work and makes sure everything is built in accordance with our standards. Having started his career as an apprentice cabinet-maker, he has an eye for detail and an appreciation for fine workmanship.
